What is more magical than developing and printing your own black-and-white film in the darkroom? In this four-lesson course, you will learn everything step by step. Experience the enchanting moment when your first photo comes to life in the developer tray!
The course is taught by Henk Pasman, a highly experienced analog and digital photographer, who will inspire you with his knowledge and passion.
Course Overview:
Introduction to Analog Photography: Discover how an analog camera works and the differences from digital photography. Which camera is suitable? Learn how to optimally use the light meter in your camera, ISO settings, aperture, and shutter speeds, as well as which film type is best for different conditions. Includes tips and tricks for the best results.
Still Life Photography and Development: Photograph a still life in the photo studio using studio flash with an analog camera. Then develop your own film and see the magic of analog photography come to life.
Printing in the Darkroom: Get acquainted with the printing process in the darkroom. Learn how to make contact sheets and perfect your photos.
Advanced Printing and Digitization: Dive into advanced printing techniques such as dodging/burning in the darkroom or learn how to scan and digitize negatives for use on the computer.
This course offers an intensive introduction to 'slow photography' and reveals the unique beauty of classic photography that cannot be compared to digital photography.
